Protest Horse Racing Saratoga Track Sunday, August 7, 2016 11am to 1pm

This is a second protest this year.  The first protest on July 23rd was great! 35 amazing activists stood together for the horses. Two horses died at Saratoga that very same day while racing.

Please join this second protest with other animal advocates to protest the brutal business of horse racing at Saratoga Race Course.

Comments from Saratoga Track Protester

To Everyone Who Protested at the Saratoga Race Track on  Saturday, July 25, 2015:

This is for all of you who protested at the track yesterday,  along with those of you who were unable to make it. I just wanted to share with you some of my observations. For people holding a plain sign, I don’t think too many comments were made to you. I  made up my own sign that showed two dead horses — many people walked over to me and said:

  • “You ruined my day.”
  • “I don’t want my kids to see that.”
  • “You’re being cruel to people by showing those pictures.”
  • “I didn’t know that these horses go to slaughter.”
  • “What would we do with them all if we don’t race them?”

Of course, I had answers for them all.

My point is – we need more posters with pictures. A picture says a thousand words and gets attention.

We had about 25 protesters. Maybe the next time we’ll have 100.

Let’s make this a HUGE protest!
We need to get as many people as we can to stand up to the thousands going into the track this day. Last year, only a handful of protesters showed up. We know there are many, many more of you that care about these magnificent animals.
